Imagine combining ancient Anatolian cooking techniques with Amsterdam’s renowned high-quality meat culture—what would you get? Mr. Meat, a steakhouse unlike any other in the Dutch capital.

Let’s Meat!

It almost feels like stepping into a traditional artisan butcher shop. From the moment you enter Mr. Meat, located on Amsterdam’s Haarlemmerstraat, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary steakhouse. At the heart of the modern restaurant stands an impressive display case showcasing premium cuts such as beef tenderloin (Lokum), lamb (Çıtır), ribeye (Ayva), T-bone steaks, and Tomahawks, all tempting every guest who walks through the door.

Next to the display is a black board featuring a diagram of a cow and its various cuts of meat. Guests receive personal guidance, as the team takes the time to explain each cut in detail and helps them choose the perfect piece based on their individual preferences and desired flavor experience. At Mr. Meat, dining is about much more than simply eating—it is a complete culinary journey.

AUTHENTICITY

But that is not the only thing that sets Mr. Meat apart. Since opening in 2021, the restaurant has enjoyed full houses night after night, and its approach to preparing meat is equally distinctive.

Chef Tanrıbuyurdu, a renowned meat specialist with more than 45 years of experience, ensures that every cut is served in its purest and most flavorful form. No heavy sauces or elaborate toppings—just authentic, high-quality meat prepared with respect for the ingredient itself.

“What you see is what you get,” says Efe Altınkut, manager of AKKOMARKA, a restaurant group operating fifteen Turkish brands with more than sixty locations across Europe. “At Mr. Meat, we serve meat in its most natural way.”

Guests can also enjoy burgers, cocktails with a contemporary twist, and a carefully selected wine list designed to complement the restaurant’s meat-focused menu.

A CULINARY JOURNEY

Mr. Meat has secured a unique place within Amsterdam’s vibrant dining scene, which is already home to many steak-focused restaurants. Its distinctive character lies in the complete culinary experience it offers, allowing guests to choose from a broad selection of premium-quality meats.

Signature dishes such as dry-aged beef tenderloin, Tomahawk steak, and ribeye form the gastronomic backbone of the restaurant.

Each cut is seared at the ideal temperature, allowing it to absorb the natural flavors of charcoal and smoke. This enhances the texture, depth, and aroma of the meat, resulting in a dining experience unlike anything else in Amsterdam.

A special recommendation is “Heaven on Earth”, a dish featuring delicate strips of beef. It tastes as if an angel had a hand in preparing it.

MODERN FIRE STEAKHOUSE

Mr. Meat combines centuries-old culinary traditions with a contemporary approach. Housed in a former bank building, the restaurant merges a passion for exceptional meat with a modern steakhouse philosophy.

The result is a Modern Fire Steakhouse concept built entirely around fire, technique, and uncompromising quality.

The restaurant has become a destination for international visitors and dedicated meat lovers alike. At the same time, it also offers high-quality vegetarian options for those seeking alternatives.

TOP THREE

Mr. Meat is now considered one of Amsterdam’s top three steakhouses.

What is the secret behind its success?

Beyond the exceptional quality of the food, it is a truly unique place where Anatolian cooking techniques blend seamlessly with Amsterdam’s refined meat culture.

In many ways, Mr. Meat brings together the very best of two worlds.

So what are you waiting for?

Let’s Meat and enjoy an unforgettable piece of perfectly prepared meat.
